Training courses

Framework for fees: further education in England and Northern Ireland

The course offers a structure for determining who should be charged ‘home’ fees and who can be charged ‘overseas’ fees. It sticks to the basics and there is no time allowed for exploration of the ‘grey areas’ such as those related to ‘ordinary residence’ (these are addressed in the ‘Residence requirements’ workshop). The course will cover the provisions for FE courses in England and courses (both FE and HE) at FE institutions in Northern Ireland; delegates from other parts of the UK (including HE institutions in Northern Ireland) are invited to contact UKCISA before booking on to the course to discuss their training needs.

Course aim

To offer a solid framework for assessing and checking students’ fee status.
